This 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training Program will include: 

  • yoga history & philosophy
  • yoga postures, sequencing & alignment
  • anatomy & physiology
  • meditation & pranayama
  • adjustments & teaching techniques
  • restorative & therapeutic yoga
  • introduction to the subtle body & ayurveda
  • positive psychology philosophy and exercises
  • the art of communication

Whether you  feel called to teach and share what you learn with others,  or you want to expand your knowledge of yoga for personal or professional reasons, or you are eager to study this ancient healing practice for your own personal growth and enlightenment,  Healthy Body Peaceful Soul is the way to dive right in with a daily yoga study. This month-long intensive yoga teacher training offers an integrated and compassionate perspective on yoga and will include the study of postures, philosophy, and breathing exercises, and relaxation and meditation training with a focus on the science that is now supporting much of these practices and training on positive psychology and how to incorporate gratitude and joy into your own lives as well as the lives of those around you, through the lens of yoga and meditation. 

Healthy Body Peaceful Soul is the opportunity for you to awaken to your greatest potential and most compassionate and clear mind. Through this process of self-discovery and self-transformation, you will learn how to nurture your mind, body and spirit, catalyze personal growth, and live life skillfully with a centered, deep-rooted happiness and peace. This training will ground you in the knowledge that yoga and meditation are essential practices for a healthy body and peaceful soul.

Full Tuition: $2,500 (7/20)
Early Bird Tuition: $2,400 (6/30)
Payment Plan: 3 or 6-month

*A $50 non-refundable deposit + $50 application fee is due July 15th for all payment options.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

MWF: 9:30-11:30 a.m. &  1:30-5:30 p.m.
T: 6:30-11:30 a.m.  &  1:30-4:30 p.m. 
TH: 6:30-11:30 a.m.  &  1:30-4:30 p.m.
Sat: 11:00 - 5:00 p.m. (with lunch break)

Joni Sturgill holds an MS in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University. She has studied yoga and meditation for 15 years with world-renowned teachers and has the certification of E-RYT 500 from Kripaulu Yoga & Health Center. Joni's education in health and nutrition has been both an independent exploration, as well as a formal experience through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Joni has published articles on Examiner.com and on Elephantjournal.com, in addition to writing articles for her blog on healthybodypeacefulsoul.com. She has experience working with various populations, from children to the elderly, as well as those in corporate settings, and enjoys speaking at various events from university classes to corporate wellness events, to mental health professional conferences.

Janna  has a Masters Degree in Journalism from New York University and has been practicing yoga since college.  She received her 200 HR training from Sonic Yoga in New York City and did an apprenticeship at Mala Yoga in Brooklyn. Janna teaches a Vinyasa style class that focuses on both the physical and subtle body. Her students experience the flow of prana, music, and message set to the firm foundations of asana and alignment. Outside of regular classes, she specializes in teaching yoga to those who live with brain injury and PSTD.  Janna is a Lululemon ambassador and two-time published author. Her first book is a memoir of growing up with her father's brain injury,  He Never Liked Cake. Her second, Move Feel Think: Yoga for Brain Injury, PTSD, and Other Forms of Trauma.  She has written for magazines and blogs speaks frequently  at events and conferences on the topic of yoga for brain injury and trauma.
